you can i.e. do:
export YACY_PORT=8092 && ./startYACY.sh
Just append "YACY_" to uppercase version of environment variables and
replace all "." with "_".
Ensuring http post method is used for operations with server-side
effects (in respect of http semantics), and a valid transaction token is
provided by the user-agent.
- to prevent unwanted exposure of index entries about private
local/intranet documents when switching from "Intranet Indexing" mode
while attached to remote Solr instance(s)
- to warn user about remote Solr instance(s) still attached when
switching from modes other than "Intranet Indexing"
Previously named with their ISO 3166-1 country code : this way, when
setting language to "Browser" in ConfigBasic.html, it didn't work
properly when browser preferred language was Chinese or Greek as their
respective language codes are "zh" and "el" (not "cn" and "gr" which are
their country codes)
If language is set to "browser" the client/user browser language is used to choose from
available translation.
simply: one users browser speaks English -> YaCy responds in English, other users browser speaks French -> YaCy responds in French.
! To make a translation/language available you have to activate the language once !
(or manually use the utility class TranslateAll)
In ConfigBasic.html availabel translations are marked green on setting language=Browser
The client language is determined by http header Accept-Language (checked in DefaultServlet)
- The options were not current (only port number accepted, which is part of ConfigBasic.html)
- Deleted options and the port number input field from the proxyaccess page.
- joined both transparent proxy setup pages (Settings_Http.inc & Settings_ProxyAccess.inc) in one page
- adjustments to the related/linked pages
principles:
- provide an easy tutorial-like "what should I do first" menu
- provide all elements which are subject to most first questions to YaCy
exibition people on top level: Resource limitation, Parser and Ranking
settings
I apologize to everyone who are used to the old style and need to find
the menu items (again) after this change. I hope that this will make the
interface more usable for new users who see a web indexer/crawler the
first time.
!!! attention !!! to make sure YaCy can start, https will be disabled if port 8443 is used
- added ping test for above to migration
- as of now port for https is hardcoded to default 8443
- if not urgend required I'd leave it this way (it's standard) to use different ports for http and https
- post https port on ConfigBasic.html (if active)
- the own seed file gets the lead for storage of the peer name
- exchanged default peer name generation method with one that does not use the local ip
- default peer names are now strings starting with '_anon'
- added another switch to suppress forwarding to ConfigBasic if the name was already changed
- replaced all usages of the yacy.conf peerName with access to the local seed
- changes to the peer name are now applied directly and not after the next peer ping

there is a bad behaviour:
if language is changed, servlets are translated but the returning servlet is yet the old one. therefore the page is loaded again after language changed.

DictionaryLoader_p.html: Filled <dt> elements to eliminate warnings
Moved CSS for portalsearch field from header to metas template because it belongs in the <head>er
yacui-portalsearch.css Added #yacylivesearch form { display: inline; } because HTML 1.0 Strict does not allow <form><input> and the added <p> would otherwise provoke a line break
de.lng: Updates translations for added <dt> elements and deactivated statement in DictionaryLoader_p.html

from the forum discussion in

The feature will provide two basic entities:
- you can integrate image links which point to your yacy installation anywhere in the web.
the image can be loaded with
<img src="http://<yourpeer>:<yourport>/cytag.png?icon=invisible&nick=<yournickname_or_community_id>&tag=<anything>">
This will place a invisible 1-pixel image. If you change the icon=invisible to icon=redpill, you will see a red pill
Use this, to track your activity in the web.
- you can view your tracks at
http://localhost:8080/Tracks.html
- There is a public api to your tracks at
http://localhost:8080/api/tracks_p.json
which needs authentication
