because we now start YaCy with a default password (yacy).
This has impact of all function that check the current state of
password-protection that included the empty password situation,
including the warnings to set a password in case that none is set (which
cannot be the case any more).
protocol completely
If you set now an empty password, then the http server will not ask to
authentify. This is required for environment where we attach an outside
authentification service like keycloak or similar using authentication
in an ingress proxy.
This change is part of the approach to run YaCy inside of a kubernetes
cluster where we do not want individual authentication of peers and want
to apply a ingress authentication.
SimpleDateFormat must not be used by concurrent threads without
synchronization for parsing or formating dates as it is not thread-safe
(internally holds a calendar instance that is not synchronized).
Prefer now DateTimeFormatter when possible as it is thread-safe without
concurrent access performance bottleneck (does not internally use
synchronization locks).
* less CPU usage using the Solr 'allowedTime' parameter
* increase chances to get some results even when a first operation step
goes in time out by letting some time for final snippets results
processing
When a crawl is started, a new field to exclude content from scraping is
available. The field can be identified with the class name of div tags.
All text contained in such a div tag where the configured class name(s)
match are not indexed, while the remaining page is indexed.
Previously named with their ISO 3166-1 country code : this way, when
setting language to "Browser" in ConfigBasic.html, it didn't work
properly when browser preferred language was Chinese or Greek as their
respective language codes are "zh" and "el" (not "cn" and "gr" which are
their country codes)
Also ensure authentication is not lost by Digest timeout when navigating
between index.html and search results page.
This way, running searches with extended features on a remote peer or a
password protected peer works with a regular user (with "Extended
search" rights).
When authenticating on the search page with a user without "Extended
search" rights, it appears as authenticated, but has just its usual
access to the public search features.
Occurred when English was the only active language, then making the
ConfigBasic.html page unusable until manually modifying the
locale.language setting.
Especially for Turkish speaking users using "tr" as their system default
locale : strings for technical stuff (URLs, tag names, constants...)
must not be lower cased with the default locale, as 'I' doesn't becomes
'i' like in other locales such as "en", but becomes 'ı'.
Detected when importing recent MediaWiki dumps containing some pages
with script content in plain text format (see Scribunto extension
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Scribunto ).
Further improvement : modify the MediawikiImporter to prevent processing
revisions whose <model> is not wikitext.
- enabled HTTP POST calls with Digest HTTP authentication
- made API calls compatible with API newly restricted to HTTP POST only
with transaction token validation
- ensured backward compatibility with older entries recorded as HTTP
GET
- ensure use of HTTP POST method : HTTP GET should only be used for
information retrieval and not to perform server side effect operations
(see HTTP standard https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7231#section-4.2.1)
- a transaction token is now required for these administrative form
submissions to ensure the request can not be included in an external
site and performed silently/by mistake by the user browser
to use javax.servlet.http.Cookie parameters.
Depreciate now obsolete getHeaderCookies.
Adjust setting of MaxAge to spec if >= 0 otherwise keep default.
When WikiCode inserted in a peer hosted Blog, Wiki, Messages or Profile
contains relative links (images or any content, hosted in DATA/HTDOCS),
it is more reliable to keep these links relative, especially when the
peer is behind any kind of reverse Proxy.
If language is set to "browser" the client/user browser language is used to choose from
available translation.
simply: one users browser speaks English -> YaCy responds in English, other users browser speaks French -> YaCy responds in French.
! To make a translation/language available you have to activate the language once !
(or manually use the utility class TranslateAll)
In ConfigBasic.html availabel translations are marked green on setting language=Browser
The client language is determined by http header Accept-Language (checked in DefaultServlet)
- after last_exec_date is altered, next_exec_date should be recalculated
- makes the recalculation of next_exec in advance (without api call surely made) in Switchbard.schedulerJob() obsolete
Slightly modify next_exec calc. on missed event to now+schedule_time (from fix 10min)
fix for http://mantis.tokeek.de/view.php?id=677
The difference is on scheduling a large number of rss feeds and loading
is not finished before shutdown of YaCy. The change makes sure not already
loaded RSS will be loaded by the scheduler on next startup.
be translated. To avoid key="TEST" sourcetext="this is a myTESTcase for it"
translation of partial terms/words.
Add check of word boundary before and after sourcetext (incl. take care
of current praxis for key to be delimetered by > <
+ add test case
This is the 1st rudimentary approach to support the translatio utilities.
It allows currently to edit untranslated text and save it in a local translation file
in the DATA/LOCALE directory.
+ refactor Translator (less static's) to leverage on class overrides and support garbage collection for this 1 time routine
+ adjust TranslatorXliff to check for local translations in DATA/LOCALE,
this includes storing manually downloaded translation files in DATA as well
(to keep default untouched)
+ on 1st call of Translator_p a master tanslation file is generated, checking
the supported languages for missing translation text (later this masterfile is planned to part of the distribution, to harmonize translation key text between the languages)
Outlook: the local modifications (possibly as translation fragments instead of complete file) to be shared with maintainer using xlif features.
