If not interested in displaying this on your search results and notably
on a peer with limited resources this can help saving some CPU and
outgoing network connections.
Thus allowing a more convenient way (wihout the need to go to the admin
section) to login when searching on your remote or password protected
peer and benefit from extended search features such as Heuristics,
Bookmarking or JavasScript resorting.
Can be disabled using the ConfigSearchPage_p.html.
Previously rendered as a broken URL containing the absolute file path of
a snapshot on the search server.
Now rendered as a valid URL linking to the /api/snapshot API to provide
available snapshot content. Snapshot format is selected among the
available ones in the following order of preference : JPG/PNG, PDF, and
XML.
When the limit is reached, a button allow expanding/collapsing remaining
tags.
When this feature is activated without a limit to the number of
displayed tags, when encountering search results with a very large
number of keywords, the results page can become almost unusable (very
long vertical scrollbar)
This enables keyword navigator to filter on keywords. Added search page
output and layout config for keywords, allowing e.g. in Intranet use
to display the keywords. No styling or links applied to the keyword
text (but is desirable possibly in combination with bootstrap-tagsinput
for future/intranet).
- added the new setting as configurable in the "Debug/Analysis" settings
page. Debug/analysis is its main purpose for now as there is currently
no nice and "understansable" ranking score info servlet (see forum
discussion http://forum.yacy-websuche.de/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=5884 )
- render in the "Search Page Layout" page preview when enabled
- added constants
The augmented Browsing option was reduced to the web proxy functionallity.
Augmented browsing is not available and no known plan exist to reimplement
alteration of result pages with additional information.
to not already actives.
Dht results are now included in count this might over shoot on redundant
dht and solr, while the previous solr facet based was always low.
keeping order of added nav's.
The search page preview template displays active navs. Therefore a select
and add button has been added below the preview (to keep it close to actual).
This should in future likely be done by drag&drop (html5 feature).
This error occurs on /ConfigSearchPage_p.html and on search results page
when Metadata links are enabled.
The fix was to remove unnecessary use of hs.htmlExpand() which is now
part of highslide-full.js library file, currently not distributed with
YaCy (only includes highslide.js). The Metadata links work correctly and
the initial dynamic expansion offered by htmlExpand() did not bring much
usability.
These are no valid link relationships, and do not appear to be used in
scripting or styling.
If necessary, a valid alternative could be to add an attribute such as
data-count="[count]"
- switch automatically on upon load of geodata provider
- but allow switch on also without geodata file (and display the location nav if search result has lat/lon location)
- date navigation
The date is taken from the CONTENT of the documents / web pages, NOT
from a date submitted in the context of metadata (i.e. http header or
html head form). This makes it possible to search for documents in the
future, i.e. when documents contain event descriptions for future
events.
The date is written to an index field which is now enabled by default.
All documents are scanned for contained date mentions.
To visualize the dates for a specific search results, a histogram
showing the number of documents for each day is displayed. To render
these histograms the morris.js library is used. Morris.js requires also
raphael.js which is now also integrated in YaCy.
The histogram is now also displayed in the index browser by default.
To select a specific range from a search result, the following modifiers
had been introduced:
from:<date>
to:<date>
These modifiers can be used separately (i.e. only 'from' or only 'to')
to describe an open interval or combined to have a closed interval. Both
dates are inclusive. To select a specific single date only, use the
'to:' - modifier.
The histogram shows blue and green lines; the green lines denot weekend
days (saturday and sunday).
Clicking on bars in the histogram has the following reaction:
1st click: add a from:<date> modifier for the date of the bar
2nd click: add a to:<date> modifier for the date of the bar
3rd click: remove from and date modifier and set a on:<date> for the bar
When the on:<date> modifier is used, the histogram shows an unlimited
time period. This makes it possible to click again (4th click) which is
then interpreted as a 1st click again (sets a from modifier).
The display feature is NOT switched on by default; to switch it on use
the /ConfigSearchPage_p.html servlet.
The collection field (can be filled i.e. in Crawl Start) can be used to
add categories to YaCy index entries. The usage of that field was
restricted to solr searches and post argument filters as implemented in
commit f7571386a3.
This commit extends collections to a full navigation option in the
standard YaCy search interface. The field is not active by default but
can be activated easily in the /ConfigSearchPage_p.html servlet (just
check the 'Collection' facet field). Collections can now be used for (at
least) two purposes:
- to provide search tenants (through post argument collection)
- to provide self-made category navigation
Search requests may now have (independently from switched on or off
collection facet) a "collection:<collection-name>" modifier attached;
firthermore collection names may use disjunctions using the '|' pipe
symbol. For example, this is a valid search request:
www collection:user|proxy
- adopted all YaCy administration pages to new framework
- created new search page layout (working, but still work in progress)
- old skin files are fully appliable! (and looking good)
- target is a new style based on bootstrap examples, see /test.html
- icons in YaCy may be replaced by glyphicons (to be done)
works fine to restrict language for local solrSearches.
More work needs to be done to make rwi/remote searches respect the modifier.language restriction.
